Meeting April 2

March 29, 2011

It’s hard to believe that April is here, we all just couldn’t wait for spring to come. As you all know by now we have our neighbor hood watch working. So many of you have said; we need to get control of our park ( but use the word community), because that is what we are a community. I have worked very hard to keep the community alive. Now it’s your turn to help. I have said; that our teens need to bring information to our table. I have not given up on them, as I have not given up on you. We need the teens to come to the meeting on the second (02,) to voice there opinion at 3: pm., as well as you to come at 4:00 to voice your opinion. We have information to tell about the creditors meeting that we went to. We don’t want it out until we can tell you face to face.
As you know we have moved from Denny’s back to the Hall here in the community for all of us to share. The problem we have we don’t have a secured meeting room, if you have the pass code you can get into the hall.
Jerry Apel told me he wanted to get Vintage Village back, he would turn over the hall to us as ours’ to use to make this a better place to live. I wanted to get our lot rent down to the other communities of any where from $200-220. not the $255-295.and some as much as $325.that the Holley’s have bled us into. I wanted to do that so we could charge maybe $5. -$10.per month so we would have money to use to improve things for our teens, to have activity’s for them to show others that yes we can make improvemnets our selves. As I keep hearing from everyone in here is that no one see’s any improvements, this will take some time to accomplish. It didn’t get this way overnight, it took the Holley’s over 7 years to make it this way. Yes we need all to come together and help us make things happen. thank you, Jim Come to the meeting

Tips on Pumping Gas

March 27, 2011

I don’t know what you guys are paying for gasoline…. but here in California we are paying up to $3.75 to $4.10 per gallon. My line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money’s worth for every gallon:

Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose, CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline.. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold.Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening….your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.

A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

When you’re filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you’re getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up; most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom

Mail Room

March 25, 2011

I just wanted you to know this because the neighborhood watch is in affect. We are using Walkie Talkies to inform me of problems or people in the wrong place, they will say kids at the mail room I have to call the police. So many problems in there, anything from urination, writing on the walls, as you may have notice the mail box was removed to the gas station, because of trash snakes, garbage, snow etc. So if they are seen there, the Post Office has been watching too, because of the mail boxes being damage. The mail room is Federal issues. The problems in here as been one thing to another thing, many break in’s stealing etc. Please let your kids to know this thx. Jim

Todays Meeting Teen’s and Regular Meeting

March 19, 2011

We the board sat and waited for teens to come to the meeting today, at 2:pm. We had a no show for all the teens here in our community. NOT ONE
Yes not one, it shows to me they are not interested in seeing improvements here in our community, nor and maybe there parents too. I’m sorry that no one cares about our community except for a handful, that cares the burden for the rest.

We started our neighborhood watch, it’s going great. Just remember the neighborhood watch is instructed to go by the rules of our community. As long as everyone goes by the rules there will be no problem. No drugs, no loud music, no fighting, no breaking the curfew ruls are 9PM for teens and 11PM for adults. These are not PVI rules, but the Community rules. Kathy, Mary and Nicole also must enforce them. It’s the rules.

It looks like the people are worried, like if the Holley’s were still in control, they are not, they are gone. There is a creditors meeting on Tuesday in Akron we plan to attend to get answers on whats happening in here with our community. Everyone should be concerned about our community. What would happen if they decided to close our community, there would be no chance for meetings then. When it’s to late it’s to late for anyone to help. It’s time to get involved now. Where would everyone go if they did close ??????

From the Receivership

March 17, 2011

With regards to Saturday, the Park is providing a dumpster for tenants to put trash into. From my understanding, the dumpster will be at the park for a period of 1 week beginning tomorrow. Therefore, trash will not be sitting out until Tuesday. It will be placed in the dumpster and out of sight. We have heard complaints of abandoned decks, mattresses, and other large items laying around the park. This will be a great opportunity for the residents to clean up their community.

As we all Know that 99% is from people moving out, evicted and the maint. remove from home and is just left there, by the trash pickup. My understanding this not for regular trash, just your large things for throw away. thx. Mary for the corrections.
