Liberty Library Book Sale

by

Dear Friends of Liberty & Liberty residents
Just a reminder that we have two big events this Saturday – our gigantic, blowout bargain basement book sale @ 10-4 in the Community Room – There have been a plethora of plethora’s of donations recently, and there was no place to put all those books! Hiba Ismael and Pat Vlock, our amazing volunteers who are now running the book sale, suggested that we have a big, one-day sale, so we are! We hope you’ll drop in and pick up some books on Saturday – or any other day the library is open, for that matter! We have shelves and shelves of hardback and paperback fiction, poetry and short story anthologies, non-fiction including history, science, technology, health, parenting, relationships, government, cooking and nutrition (lots of cookbooks), reference, religion and philosophy – just about anything you could want. We also have children’s books and magazines for only 10 cents each. We have movies, television series, and instructional videos on VHS and DVD, books on tape and CD, and music on CD. The list goes on and on. So please come, bring a friend, and help us clear our shelves! All proceeds go to help pay for library programming and refreshments and to purchase permanent items for the library.
The library is hosting a Touch a Truck event in the parking lot at 1-3 pm. There will be all kinds of vehicles for the children to explore, and the Friends are serving apple cider and popcorn. We are very fortunate that Rental Corral on Gypsy Lane donated the use of their popcorn popper for this event. This is a great event for kids of all ages, so I hope you’ll tell your friends and family about it and help us have a good turnout.
Happy fall to all of you! Have you noticed that the leaves are starting to turn? It’s such a beautiful time of year.
Becky Marx, president, Friends of Liberty L
ibrary.

Please support our library. It is such an important part of our community. This Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013.
